This is not necessarily the title I had the entire time just the vast majority of my time here. Shortly after converting to Full time we reorged, as the company so often does and I took over leadership of the immersive Environements and 3D Avatar Teams. There were a lot of great things that happened during this time, we shipped Microsoft Avatars on the Teams platform, we shipped Immersive Spaces, we grew as a Team adding talent. It was a great expereince.
I was brought in to design and impliment Avatars for the Mixed reality group. We did a great deal in the 18 Months this contract lasted before I was conversated to a full time employee, Creating 63 unique exploraitons of avatars. Our range covered Non-Gendered/Non-Cultured to Semi Realism with Gender and Culture, this also included things like robotic and many more fantastic versions. Fun experience great team.
I have been managing the Character Art and Character art pipeline for the most anticipated Japanese remake currently in development. I first kicked off this project in 2015 and returned to it to help the team that I had developed overcome some hurdles that were experiencing. This has been the challenge and a pleasure to be part of.
I came in to help my friends at Big Box VR overcome some technical Issues. Specifically challenges relating to implementing VR rigs and especially how it relates to IK solving. This was prior to a big funding deadline that I am proud to say that we met. I generally don't put such small contracts in my work history but I am particularly proud to have worked with this great team.
Happy to know my contributions lead to the studio getting bought by Meta.
This was a startup. Though there are many things that could have gone better the company started with a bunch of people getting together for dinner and committing to building something new and though we came from many differenct places the trials that we would work through would build many close friendships. There were times that this work was grueling, we had so many challenges in the begining. When pen met paper though we had the highest rated verticle slice that Nexon had ever had. Many accomplishments, many great friends.
I followed the exacting standards developing the character miniatures from concept through final production.
I manage the outsource teams on behalf of clients. Acting as external Art Director and Character art lead.
